Aliments transformés : les risques sur la santé

Around the world, scientists are sounding the alarm. Consuming too much trans fat increases the risk of heart disease. In the United States, major cities are banning it. It's a public health issue. In France, there's little to nothing. In 2005, the French Agency for Food Safety (Afssa) issued two recommendations: first, manufacturers must limit the presence of trans fats within two years. Second, the percentage of trans fats must be indicated on packaging, as in the United States, to inform consumers. By testing numerous products ourselves in an independent laboratory, we discovered that some widely consumed products did not comply with these recommendations. An investigation into a hidden risk.
