Connect with Me: / vivianneskitchen / vivianneskitchen How To Make Lao Beef Jerky (Seen Hang or Seen Lod) INGREDIENTS 3 pounds eye round 1 tablespoon lemongrass 1 tablespoon ginger 2 cloves garlic 2 tablespoons soy sauce Golden Mountain brand 1 tablespoon fish sauce 1 tablespoon vegetable oil 3 tablespoons brown sugar 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon whole black pepper 1/2 tablespoon chicken bouillon 1 cup vegetable oil for frying INSTRUCTIONS Slice meat into a strip half inch thick and 3-4 inches long. Trim off any fat. Slice garlic, ginger, and lemongrass into small pieces. Combine the garlic, ginger, lemongrass, whole black pepper and salt in a mortar and pestle. Pound them into a paste and set aside. In a large mixing bowl add the beef, past mixture, brown sugar, fish sauce, oil, and soy sauce. Mix until evenly combined. Marinate the meat in the refrigerator for one hour. Arrange the beef on a hanging net in the sun for minimal of 5 hours. Turn the beef over after 3 hours. Heat oil in a saucepan on a medium heat. Fry the beef in batches and stir often for 2-3 minutes. Drain on a paper towel. Serve the beef with spicy dipping sauce and sticky rice. I hope you found this tutorial helpful!
