Resgatei um Peixe Betta e Construí um Aquário para Ele! (Sem Filtro)

The story of a betta fish rescue — transforming a tiny jar into a real aquarium using a sweet potato as a filter. Sweet potato roots as natural filtration in a nano aquarium, built from scratch until it becomes a planted tank full of life. A betta was living in a tiny glass container, so I decided to intervene and build a suitable home for it — a custom-made aquarium, sealed and set up like a small planted tank with driftwood, moss, and floating plants. The difference? Instead of a traditional filter, I tested the sweet potato as a natural nitrate "filter," growing it hydroponically inside the aquarium itself. You'll see the entire construction: assembling the tank with recycled glass, leak testing, substrate, planting, cycling with matured water, and the gradual explosion of roots and micro-life that transforms an empty box into a living ecosystem. Along the way, unexpected visitors appear (snails and microfauna), the sweet potato thrives while the regular potato fails, and I prune when growth begins to block the light. Finally, the betta enters its new home, begins hunting live food like ostracods, and even builds a bubble nest—one of the best signs that it is safe and adapted. I also test tank mates with red cherry shrimp and show what makes a small aquarium work without sophisticated equipment: plants, hiding places, stable biology, and respect for the animal. #bettafish #bettaquarium #plantedtank #nanoaquarium #aquascaping #nofilter #naturalfiltration #walstadmethod #sweetpotato #aquariumsetup #bettrescance #aquariumecosystem #aquaticplants #redcherryshrimp #ostracods #livefood #aquariumkeeping #freshwateraquarium Music: Sizzr - Schwartzy Blue Paint - Atlantean Twilight - Kevin MacLeod Comfortable Mystery - Film Noire - Kevin MacLeod Lost Frontier - Kevin MacLeod
