Geirangerfjord in the winter (Havila ferry excursion)
The Havila ferry journey from Bergen to Kirkenes, Norway, includes 34 scenic port stops along the Norwegian coast. Most stops last between 5 and 20 minutes, but Day 2 features a rare all-day stop in Ålesund. During the 8-hour stop in Ålesund, I joined a Geirangerfjord tour—one of Norway’s most iconic fjord experiences. While this tour runs year-round, visiting Geirangerfjord in winter meant the fjord was beginning to freeze, so the final portion of the journey was completed by bus instead of boat. #havila #norway #visitnorway #fjordnorway #geirangerfjord #geiranger
