#264. Using ALCOHOL To Make HOLOGRAPHIC Effects In Resin Art! In todays Resin Art video, I show how I achieved some crazy almost holographic looking pieces by using alcohol on my resin and then curing. The alcohol on the resin created the shiniest finish and texture I have ever seen in resin art! Along with the nail powders, the results are incredible! I filmed this one a few weeks ago now and have only just got round to editing and uploading, we are so close to 100,000k now guys, thanks so much! I will be at Makers Central this weekend so may be slow replying to your comments but keep them coming! Ok, now for the disclaimer! Isopropyl alcohol is extremely flammable! NO FLAMES OR TORCHES! NO SOURCES OF IGNITION! Isopropyl can self ignite but it requires a temperature of 400C/750F, UV resin can get hot whilst curing (not as hot as the isopropyl needs to be to self ignite) however, Isopropyl fumes can ignite if there are any sources of ignition near by, I do not know which lamps you are using or if they may have breaks in the wires (source of ignition).... for this, I am advising not to try this experiment at home! ‎@ResinRockers You can now be a member of my channel which will give you access to comment badges and also wallpaper of my macro photography.
