Rafael Nadal Secret Forehand Tip Revealed: Tennis Lesson
Rafael Nadal has one of the most powerful forehands on tour. In this tennis lesson, Jeff Salzenstein reveals a secret forehand tip that he learned from studying Rafael Nadal. This is a little known tip related to the swing path, which can be an absolute game changer for improving your tennis forehand. Jeff calls it the “point the racquet” forehand tip. Here’s how he describes it: After making contact with the ball, the tip of your racquet will be pointing in the direction towards the other side of the court. The hitting side hand will be high, often above the head to add extension and depth to the forehand The racquet strings that make contact with the ball will be pointing down, and the tip of the racquet will be pointing up towards the sky. Jeff shares five progression steps to help you practice this concept, so that you can take your forehand to the next level. Video Timeline: 4:06 Grip Jeff recommends using a semi western or eastern grip on your forehand. 5:24 Trigger Finger When you’re holding the racquet, make sure that your index finger is spread, which will help you to feel the racquet in your hand and reduce the grip tension. 6:20 Relax Your Hand Make sure that your hand is relaxed throughout the entire motion. Your hand must be loose to get the proper extension and “hand turn” on your forehand. 7:02 Contact When you make contact with the ball, you want to feel like racquet face and strings are slightly closed. 10:01 Finish Practice catching the racquet earlier, before your hand passes the opposite shoulder. Make sure that your hand high as you swing up before finishing your swing. If you want to learn how to hit topspins like Nadal, get this https://topspinpro.tennisevolution.co...
