"The Beyonce of the Group" Explained

Sorry for the skip around 8:31, I had to cut out the X Factor Clip RIP I thought about this after recording: According to Liam, Simon Cowell told him 1D was set up on the X Factor to fulfill a promise to him he'd made in the past that Liam would be a successful singer. 5H also formed on X Factor, and there's been speculation the group was set up to propel Camila's career, and she was the predetermined "face" of the group. I'm going to take most of Liam's comments with a grain of salt, but if what he said was (partially) true, that could support the theories about Camila. Also, it is VERY real that some groups are formed as a launchpad for a solo artist. My tinfoil hat is tingling..... We've heard people say a certain person is they "Beyonce" of their group, but what does that really mean? Usually it has 2 meanings: the artist is extremely talented and stands out from the rest of their group. The other is that the person is receiving unfair treatment which will give them the advantage to succeed at a solo career. Beyonce was accused of both these things while she was in Destiny's Child. Despite it, and because of her massive talent she's one of the world's biggest pop stars. Other "Beyonce's" (in my opinion) include Harry Styles, Camila Cabello, Justin Timberlake and more. Also.... can we as a society deplatform Liam Payne. Who keeps letting him speak?
