She is the patron saint of the people of Zulia and mother of the dispossessed. She holds a place of honor in the cosmogony of the region's indigenous people. For many, she is the Virgin of Chiquinquirá; however, for most, she is simply her Chinita. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "La Chinita, Nuestra Virgen Morena" is a historical documentary that recounts the arrival of the Virgin of the Rosary of Chiquinquirá in the lives of the people of Maracaibo and shows the devotion, born in El Saladillo, that has transcended the borders of Zulia to other regions of Venezuela.
