This is what you find when you don't stop. In this video we ride from Skardu through the KKH, stop at Attabad Lake, ride through quiet village lanes in Gilgit-Baltistan, and push further into the mountains toward Thorgu — a road that barely exists on most maps. We passed the Sarfaranga Cold Desert, a cliff-hugging track with the river on one side and a rock wall on the other, terraced green valleys you can only see from a drone, and the iconic Shangrila Resort lake from above.
