“New Day Will Rise” is a song of hope, strength, and unwavering faith in the power of the human spirit. It speaks to resilience in times of darkness — the belief that even through pain, loss, and uncertainty, we can heal, rebuild, and find light again. I performed this piece live at Lincoln Center in New York City at the IAJF Gala, one of the most emotional performances I’ve ever experienced. Behind me during the song was a moving slideshow of photos and videos of hostages reuniting with their families after more than two years in captivity. Watching those moments of tears, relief, and love while singing made this performance incredibly emotional, personal, and deeply meaningful. I’m honored to have shared my voice on such a powerful night filled with unity, strength, and purpose.
