I Made a 15th / 16th Century Chemise | DIY with 4 Pieces of Fabric

The Italian chemise of the 15th and 16th centuries is also known as a camicia. It can also be referred to as a smock, shift, or undershirt. Historically, the chemise was made out of linen and typically had embroidery on it. ❤️ SUBSCRIBE IF YOU LIKE THIS VIDEO AND WANT MORE ❤️ Suggestions for cheaper (and not historically accurate) options are also included in this video, as well as tips for quickly sewing together a chemise. When it comes to sewing, we all start somewhere. This step by step demonstration is to help those who may be new to sewing and/or historical reenactment. Learning how to sew a chemise was one of the first things that I learned how to do after joining the SCA, when I was a teenager.
