The Kobelco Kobe Steelers, aiming for their first championship in the Rugby League One Division 1, held an open practice session ahead of the playoff final on June 7th. The Kobelco Kobe Steelers are just one win away from their long-awaited League One championship. At their grounds in Higashinada Ward, Kobe City, they held a practice session in a match format in preparation for the playoff final. While the Steelers boast two championships in the Top League, the predecessor to League One, they have been far from winning since the establishment of League One, with their highest finish being third place. In the 2025-26 season, they secured a playoff spot with a 16-2 record, leveraging their overwhelming offensive power. In the semi-final on May 30th, they defeated Tokyo Suntory Sungoliath 69-23, putting them one win away from their first championship. During the practice, co-captain Lee Seung-shin, along with the team's try-scorer and graduate of Hotoku Gakuen High School, Kazuma Ueda, meticulously reviewed attack movements from set pieces.
