Morticians Talk Victims of Crime: Kathleen Peterson

As morticians we get asked about the condition of crime victims bodies... "Are they viewable?" "How would we handle this case?" "What would the body look like?" Kari the Mortician and Ryan & Brian from Undertaking the Podcast will answer those questions and many more. In each episode several embalmers/morticians will talk about criminal cases of murder and unexplained deaths and how they would handle the deceased victims from those cases. In this episode, Kari, Ryan & Brian, and guest embalmer John Hill will be discussing the death of Kathleen Peterson, The Staircase death. She was a successful woman found dead in a bloody scene at the base of a staircase in her home. Was it an accident or murder, that was what the jury had to determine? Many people have looked at the criminal aspect of the case and the murderers, but we will discuss caring for the victim and the sad task that laid before the funeral directors who cared for her.
