Say "Anne Boleyn" and you say "rose," or rather, the thorns surrounding the rose, which, if touched, can turn redder than the rose itself. Much has been said and written about Anne Boleyn. The portrayals we have of her are countless: a romantic victim of a tragic love story, an unscrupulous social climber, a saint sacrificed on the altar of state reasons, a witch who did everything to gain power, an emancipated woman, and a controversial figure with many shadows. Even today, Anne Boleyn remains a figure that divides the opinion of historians and the public, devouring novels, films, and TV series; everyone has their own vision of her, convinced it's the right one, when in reality, the story goes from one extreme to the other. Anne Boleyn continues to elude us even today. Her slender, elegant figure still moves ambiguously, telling us everything and the opposite of everything she said and did in her short life, when she managed to attract one of the most powerful kings of Renaissance Europe and became the symbol of one of the greatest changes in history, flying high like Icarus before plummeting, dragged down by her own hubris.
