Diaphragmatic Endometriosis CONFIRMED by MRI

ENDOMETRIOSIS UPDATE! My Endometriosis Journey so far... My Private MRI Report is in. It's official - I have diaphragmatic endometriosis. I had my MRI performed at Medneo in London. They scanned my pelvis, abdomen AND chest. So how has the Private MRI compared to my NHS MRI? It's in the details... It picked up that both of my ovaries are stuck to my uterus - I did not know that. Both my uterosacral ligaments are thickened and irregular - the NHS scan reported only the right was inflamed. My rectosigmoid colon is not only adhered to my left ovary (which has the endometrioma), it's also stuck to my uterosacral ligament. Moving onto the diaphragm... There are small signs on the diaphragm suspicious for endometriotic implants - on the right side (which explains my right shoulder tip pain these past few periods) and another mark on the back of my diaphragm... None of this was picked up on the MRI I had back in October with the NHS. I've been told that it's likely that I will need not one but two surgeries for my endo. The second being VATS - Video Assisted Thoracic Surgery. Next steps: Consultation with Thoracic Specialist to determine POA. In the meantime...
