In 2009, tyler the creator released his first album, Bastard, which was the start of his rise to stardom in the music industry, however back then, nobody knew that bastard was only the first installment in a 3 album trilogy. A mysterious trilogy in which tyler discusses many things with a therapist named Dr. TC, such as disturbing events, mental health issues, the absence of his father and eventually thoughts about murder/suicide.
