I’ve been working on the DDTO Bad Ending lyrical bundle every since 2022, and continued to work on it on-and-odd. I was gonna wait to release this song once the bundle was complete. But with how much time I’ve spent doing anything but finish the bundle, I felt like it wasn’t fair to NOT release Markov when so much is already done for it for a while. So here it is. Though, keep in mind that things are subject to change in the bundle video, whenever it releases. Anyways, I’m very happy with this video. Markov is a song that blew me away when first playing it, which made me really want to cover it. Because I’ve been working on this since 2023, I spent multiple periods of time trying to rewrite and rewrite the song, slowly molding it to what is now. And for what the lyrics molded to be at the end, I’d say that it represents my current skills as a writer, and I’m fascinated by the slow writing process that this went through. This goes without saying that Nixx knocked it out of the park with her performance as Yuri. She’s such a talented and expressive singer. And the way that she brings out the desperation and obsession of Yuri’s character blew my mind when first listening to it.
