He has dedicated his life to fulfilling the call of God in his life as an evangelist for the last 25 years. He is one of the pioneers of Gospel music in India and his songs are sung in churches worldwide across all denominations. He failed in his maths paper in class twelve and had to rewrite the exam to clear it. He completed his degree in English literature from Loyola College, Chennai. After graduating from Loyola, he enrolled for the Masters program (evening) at Pachiyappa’s College, Chennai with a plan of doing ministry during the daytime. He started his career as an executive in a finance company while pursuing a part time post-graduate diploma in Personnel Management. This was his first and last job. He was then led to step out in faith to serve the Lord as a full time evangelist. His leisure interests include graphic designing, window shopping and playing around with gadgets that fit his budget.Isaac Joe His original compositions include 70 English songs and 30 Tamil songs which have all come out in Audio CDs and live concert DVDs. One of his first songs, ‘Blind man’ that he wrote while he was in college got its lyrics after seeing a Jenson & Nicholson advertisement hoarding while he was travelling in a city bus. Another one of his very famous song ‘Picked me up from the miry clay’ is a hit among the kids and the youth for the actions that go with the song. Mr. Isaac Joe has been preaching the word of hope to various sections of the society, reaching out to various churches, the corporate world, schools, rehabilitation centres, villages and prisons. He has been travelling around the world to countries like Sri Lanka, Hong Kong, Brunei, New Zealand, Australia, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, the gulf, UK and the USA carrying the message of hope to the lost and broken hearted. He connects with people, spends time with them and helps them rebuild their lives. His anointed performances are unique. His communication style, with a beautiful grip on English and an equally colloquial Tamil is well-received by the youth. Singing his compositions in his own style and communicating the message of love and hope with his personal testimonies and present day situations is what makes him reach people of all ages and cultures. His ministry sees people run back to the Lord, filled with a zest to see God’s plan fulfilled in their lives.
