Close Lightning Strike Barrage in an Open Field

Skip to ~1:47 for the most intense barrage. Took place during a storm chase near the Kansas/Oklahoma border on June 17, 2025. The supercell produced numerous photogenic bolts well ahead of the precipitation, and at one point, we found ourselves in the middle of a negative CG barrage. We were safe by remaining inside the car with only one window cracked open for the microphone. Apologies for the ticking sound from the hazard signal.
