The Cotahuasi Canyon is located in the Arequipa region of Peru. It is the deepest canyon in the Americas and one of the deepest canyons in the world, with a depth of up to 3,535 meters. It is located in the province of La Unión, within the Cotahuasi Sub-basin Landscape Reserve. This tourist destination is rarely visited despite having so many awards, due to the long distance between the city of Arequipa and Cotahuasi—an 8-hour bus ride—but it is well worth it because the WONDERS hidden in Cotahuasi are incredible and something you will never forget. During the trip, visitors can enjoy the Sipia waterfalls, the Luicho hot springs, and towns like Huaynacotas and Pampamarca, all places where you can experience experiential tourism.
