Javgarat Magomedkadieva is a hereditary blacksmith from the village of Kharbuk, Dakhadaevsky district of Dagestan. This seemingly frail woman has been forging daggers and sabers for more than 40 years. Our first visit to the village of Kharbuk was so impressed with Javgarat that we decided to dedicate our film to her, a representative of a bygone era.
