Rainbow Campground – Big Lake Recreation Area – has 153 campsites and located in a forested area next to the 450-acre Big Lake in eastern Arizona at an elevation of 9,100 feet. Campsites 46-86 have water & electric hookups. The campground has 6 loops and includes 4 double sites that can accommodate up to 16 people each. Most sites are reservable, but campsites 130-152 (Loop F) are first-come, first-serve. Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Some campsites have a sloped parking area. Each site also has a table, fire ring and grate. Campground amenities include drinking water, flush toilets, showers, trash collection and a dump station. A few shared food storage lockers are also scattered about the campground. A small store is also nearby that sells gas, food, boat rentals and firewood.
