Heavy packs and vertical descents. Taking the hard way home from Northbrook Mountain. This wasn't a minimalist trek—hauling a full kit of climbing gear through the peak of the Queensland summer made for a grueling mission, but the payoff was worth it. After an overnight on the summit, I bypassed the walking tracks and opted to rappel off the mountain to make my way back.
