Repertoire: Koechlin's ULTIMATE Bassoon and Orchestra Masterpiece

Let's give a round of applause to bassoonist extraordinaire Eckart Hübner (with the SWF Symphony Orchestra under Roland Bader on CPO Records) for having the fortitude and gumption to take on Charles Koechlin's amazing Silhouettes de Comédie--12 Pieces for Bassoon and (huge) Orchestra. If there's a more perfectly conceived work for this particular instrument and large ensemble, I haven't heard it, and I suspect you haven't either. Amazing!
