In these recordings, which I made with special permission from the Historical Sites Directorate, I traced not only the trenches and monuments, but also the footsteps of my grandfather, Mehmet Oğlu İbrahim, and thousands of nameless heroes. From the magnificence of the Martyrs' Monument to the eternal vigil of the 57th Regiment, from the first resistance at Seddülbahir to the fate-changing summit of Conkbayırı, we reopen Çanakkale in an 18-minute journey. This documentary is a personal tribute to the sacred memory of those who paid the price for our comfortable lives on these hills a century ago.
