Is social media bad for teens? Golden Globes winners in 'Adolescence' cast on shared responsibility

Hollywood is ready to host the next award show of the season, honoring the best in movies and TV at the 2026 Golden Globes. Nominations and awards for the annual event, first held in 1944, are "determined by an independent body of international journalist voters," according to the awards' website. Leading this year with nine nominations is Paul Thomas Anderson's big-budget satire "One Battle After Another," which is up for Best Comedy/Musical, as well as Best Actor for Leonardo DiCaprio and Best Actress for Chase Infiniti. In the TV categories, HBO's "The White Lotus" led all shows with six nominations (including best drama series), while Netflix's "Adolescence" scored five.
