I Didn’t Expect This at The Pier House, Westward Ho!

Today I’m visiting The Pier House in Westward Ho!, one of North Devon’s most popular seafront restaurants, to see whether the food lives up to the setting. I tried a really interesting vegetarian burrito bowl, where you build your own burrito with a wide range of fresh and flavourful vegetarian options — easily one of the more creative veggie dishes I’ve had in the area. Alongside that, I ordered the butter chicken, served with rice, poppadom, naan bread, mango chutney, raita, and lime pickle — a generous plate with plenty of flavour and good value for money. For dessert, we finished with a chocolate torte (which was rich and genuinely excellent) and a cheesecake, rounding off the meal nicely. With its clifftop location, sea views, relaxed atmosphere, and solid menu, The Pier House delivers more than just scenery. This was a genuinely positive experience, and a great option if you’re visiting Westward Ho! or exploring North Devon.
