Like many of the drivers in the D1GP, he is the owner of his own tuning shop called SunRise, and works on his car himself. Before starting in D1, he was part of a team called, "Dropout Racing". He is very logical on driving over 100 days in circuits eather on race or practicing each year. "Hibi-Tetsu" is his knickname in Japan.
