Having previously owned and played the 3rd Edition, and with experience of both the 1st and 2nd Editions, this is a game I know well. Years ago I made the difficult decision to sell my copy, simply because I no longer had regular opponents to enjoy such a large and rewarding American Civil War simulation. Now GMT Games has released the Deluxe Edition, and the temptation proved too much to resist. In this video, I'll be unboxing the game, taking a close look at the upgraded components, comparing it with previous editions where appropriate, and discussing whether this new edition offers enough to justify buying it all over again. One feature I'm particularly excited about is the inclusion of Simple Gettysburg. This streamlined version of the game promises to make this classic system more accessible, and I'm really looking forward to seeing how it plays alongside the full Deluxe game.
