RetinaRounds™ 114: Lincoff's Rules
Remember the three basic principles for retinal detachment repair: 1) Find the break(s), 2) Treat the break(s), and 3) Close the break(s). In today's episode we will focus on the first step: finding the retinal break. Finding the causative retinal break, however, can be challenging. In today’s episode we will review Lincoff’s Rules, which can help guide you to find retinal breaks based on the configuration of subretinal fluid. At the end of the episode we will discuss some additional strategies for finding retinal breaks as well as some limitations to the application of Lincoff's Rules.
