EDGE3 High-Altitude Balloon Flight Highlights

The EDGE team got together with NanoSatisfi to provide a ride to near space for the ArduSat prototype. Have you ever wanted to run your own experiment in space? ArduSat makes it possible. http://www.nanosatisfi.com We were also joined by some fellow enthusiasts from Sparkfun Electronics (http://www.sparkfun.com) to launch a second balloon in tandem with ours. With 3 lbs of payload and 5 lbs of lift measured at the neck of the balloon, their payload ascended to more than 130,000'! It was great to get to do a dual launch, especially when it results in such altitude. Major congratulations go out to the SFE team. This was the second flight where we used the HackHD video cameras, and we think you'll agree that they worked great. We're thrilled with the result - all of the video from the payload (with the exception of the time lapse footage) was shot with HackHD's (http://www.hackhd.com).
