Una EQUIPACIÓN para cada OCASIÓN
We've prepared a "Definitive Guide" to help you avoid risks on the road or in the city. Riding a motorcycle requires two obvious things: the motorcycle and the gear. However, we still see many riders neglecting the latter. In this video, we're clear: gear isn't an expense, it's an investment. If you take care of it, it will last for years, and if you're unlucky enough to crash, it will be the only thing that saves you from serious injury. The Importance of Technical Undergarments Sometimes we focus only on the jacket, but what you wear underneath is key. Cotton is a motorcyclist's enemy; if you sweat, it stays damp and you end up getting cold. The key is technical undergarments. Even in summer, thin thermal underpants help prevent your suit or riding pants from sticking to your skin, allowing you to move more freely on the bike. Different Occasions, Different Protection Going to the track is not the same as going for a leisurely ride on Sunday, but in both cases, the protection must be adequate. On the Track: There's no room for half measures here. Ideally, you should wear a one-piece leather suit. It's the safest option against abrasion and impacts. Always pair it with a good back protector and, if possible, airbag technology. Touring and Short Rides: For these situations, the industry has advanced considerably. You can wear reinforced jeans and urban-style boots that conceal high-level protection. This way, you can get off the bike and have a drink without looking like you just landed from Mars. Long Trips: Here, functionality reigns supreme. You need quality jackets with thermal linings and waterproof membranes. It's essential that the zippers and pockets are usable with gloves on; if you have to take off your glove every time you want to get a toll ticket, it's not a good jacket. The Helmet: Your Most Valuable Piece of Equipment My advice is unequivocal: always wear a full-face helmet. Open-face or "jet" helmets can be comfortable in the city, but they don't offer much protection for your face in the event of an impact. Also, remember that helmets have an expiration date. The materials lose their properties over time: expect about 4 years for basic helmets and up to 8 years for high-end carbon fiber helmets, provided they haven't suffered any previous impacts. Maintenance and Tips Keeping your gear clean isn't just about aesthetics, it's about safety. A dirty visor reduces visibility and strains your eyes. A foolproof trick for cleaning insects from the visor: place a damp paper towel on the visor for a few minutes to soften the dirt and then gently peel it off. Never rub it dry if you don't want to scratch the visor. In conclusion, don't skimp. Being well-equipped means being comfortable, and a comfortable motorcyclist is a much safer motorcyclist. If you have a passenger, remember that their safety is your responsibility: they should be as well-equipped as you, or even better. Subscribe to our channel! https://www.youtube.com/@moto1protv?s...
