Gobierno De La Espriella lanza dura advertencia al Clan del Golfo: “todo el peso de la ley”

In an interview with #lafm, Rodrigo Lara, designated Minister of the Interior in Abelardo De La Espriella's government, issued strong warnings about the outgoing administration's last-minute contracting practices and demanded a halt to the multi-million dollar processes that, he claims, "smell very fishy." Lara referred to allegations regarding contracts in entities such as Fiduprevisora, the Department of Social Prosperity (DPS), the Civil Aeronautics Authority (Aerocivil), and the Ministry of Defense, in addition to questioning the hiring of officials after the closure of the Ministry of Equality. Regarding the future of security policy, Rodrigo Lara asserted that the so-called "total peace" had failed and explained the new government's strategy toward the Clan del Golfo, FARC dissidents, and other criminal organizations. He also revealed what will happen once the deadline set by the president-elect for these groups to submit to justice has passed.
