While hundreds of families were relocated to Sadeipali Colony nearly three years ago, several families are still refusing to leave their villages over pending demands. Residents of Khuntpali have alleged that the administration is carrying out forced eviction as demolition of houses began. Families in Khuntpali, Kumianpali, and Tabalbanji are yet to be rehabilitated, prompting intensified efforts by the administration. The Chief Engineer of the Lower Suktel Project has assured that all pending issues will be addressed, with the dam expected to be inaugurated in September and irrigation water released to farmlands.
