Elliot struggles to save Charlie Fairhead's life while coping with his own ill health and exhaustion. Nick Jordan isn't much help; he seems more interested in stirring things up, especially with Jac. When the Home Office want to interview Thandie and Ric to discuss details of their marriage, Thandie is sure her life at Holby will be over. But Ric surprises her at the last minute by revealing his true feelings - not what she expected at all. Nicky remains jealous of George's relationship with Maria, and even allows George to wind him up over his sexuality. Jac and Joseph are up for the consultant interviews - neither are feeling particularly confident.
