Everything here is real — antique furniture, carved tables and chairs, a vintage illustrated edition of Don Quixote, stone walls that have stood for over 600 years. You can touch it all, sit on it, sleep on a luxurious old bed. Yet modern touches are everywhere: air conditioning, a contemporary bathroom, comfortable mattresses. In the morning, birdsong woke us up — the farmhouse sits deep in the forest, beside a stream. On this walk, I explore the building inside and out, discover the stream and the pool area with a solarium, and soak in the atmosphere of a place where history and comfort coexist perfectly.
