What is Prague Jewish quarter, Supreme Prague
What is Prague Jewish quarter? Why is the area called Josefov, where do you find it? When did Jews live in this area? How big is the current Jewish community? All together there is no Jewish quarter today in Prague - designated area mostly populated by Jews. In Prague city center we find area called Josefov, a "new" area built between 1897-1914 mostly. So the old Jewish ghetto was torn down and rebuilt. However, in the area we find the old buildings remaining from the old ghetto - synagogues, cemetery, and town hall. You can visit most of the old sites - it is the Jewish museum. Visit the Jewish quarter on guided tour with Supreme Prague: https://supremeprague.com/prague-tour...
