All have fleshy leaves and rhizomes, a structure in the roots that is specialized in storing water and nutrients. There is the Sansevieria trifasciata "Golden Hahnnii" with its yellow-edged leaves, the Sansevieria boncel and its spiral shape; there is the Danish crown (Sansevieria trifasciata) and its wide striped leaves; and there is the victory (Sansevieria masoniana), with a rigid and almost leathery structure. Growing snake plants is super easy. The plant shows that it is a warrior, surviving in strong sunlight, shade, in pots or in the ground, indoors or outdoors. With very slow growth, the Sansevieria is one of those that saves (water and nutrients) to use in more extreme moments. There is no secret to caring for it: water, drained soil and sun – although it can even resist in shady places, the plant benefits from the sun's rays to reach its maximum beauty. Scientifically, snake plants are great plants to have at home. With research attested by NASA, these are species with a high power of filtering pollutants. Dust, soot and even chemicals that we have indoors pass through the leaves of this plant and make the air in the environment purer. Even pests think twice before challenging this plant to a duel.
