King Asa was amazingly strong in his devotion to God when he began to reign. Things were going so well. God intervened when Asa was threatened by enemies. God moved as a result of Asa’s faith. But near the end of his reign, Asa moved away from such strong devotion. He never directly renounces the Lord by his words, but his actions tell us his devotion to the Lord weakened.
