What if AI could explain itself | Will Browne | TEDxQUT
We need to decide how much performance we are prepared to sacrifice, in order to trust the AI’s decisions. Will Browne is passionate about making machines and computers more intelligent for real-world tasks. His latest research is in how higher-level (abstract) patterns can help people understand the knowledge learned by such intelligent agents. This enables artificial intelligence and robots to be accepted in day-to-day applications varying from automated welding to assistive healthcare. Instead of deep impenetrable networks, his 25-year research journey develops transparent, counter-factual and eXplainable AI. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
