Meccano Rubik's Shrine
This cube solver has been assembled with parts from the well known Meccano system. More info at http://meccanokinematics.net/meccano-... The model is a tribute to Ernő Rubik, inventor of the cube. The appearance of the model with the cube as an iconographical centrepiece looks like a shrine, hence the models name: Rubik's Shrine. This machine is derived from the FAC solver (see the channel of Meccano Kinematics), yet with a different program and hardware architecture. A Raspberry Pi 3 microcontroller with a Pi cam attached to it is used to do all the heavy calculations and a Teensy V3.2 board to handle the accelstepper code. For the solving algoritm we made use of the Kociemba algoritm. Credits: Mechanical design by Wilbert Swinkels Programming by Maxim Tsoy
