Molukse Takkie: Jeftha Pattikawa - #24

🐚What is Molukse Takkie? Molukse Takkie is the podcast that doesn't forget Moluccan culture, traditions, and food. Uriël and Rio explore their Moluccan roots and have "takkies" with various guests from the Moluccan community. 🌴What is this episode about? No one is in favor of racism, but who is truly anti-racism? How do we decolonize our archives? Jeftha Pattikawa does incredibly important work in this area at, among others, the National Archives, part of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science. In his work at this knowledge-producing institute, he deals directly with the ‘collective memory’ and the accessibility of historical sources, archives, and government information. Jeftha is also the founder of the audiovisual archive Verloren Banden and a member of various committees and advisory boards, including Europeana, an initiative of the European Commission to support the digital transformation of heritage institutions across Europe.
