Find out about slow worms with Matt
Despite appearances, the slow-worm is actually a legless lizard, not a worm or a snake! They are completely harmless to people. Slow worm mating season starts in May, females incubate and hatch eggs in their body before giving birth to an average of 8 live young in the summer. Find out more about them in this video from our Reserves Officer Matt.
