One of the best parts about the show is the evolving relationship between Laura (Kellie S. Williams) and Steve (Jaleel White). While Laura’s rejection of Steve’s romantic overtures is a well discussed plot of the show, their sweet friendship (that eventually turned to love) also deserves to be highlighted. Laura always came with the sassy wit to hold Steve at bay, but she also used it to defend and support him against people who tried to take advantage of him.
