200,000 FILIPINOS BRING CORY HOME | Cory Aquino Funeral Procession | 05 August 2009

August is an important month for the pro-democracy movement in the Philippines. It gives us the time that we Filipinos need, especially in these very difficult times, to reflect on the importance of cherishing our democracy, and remember those who fought for its very survival. We remember President Benigno Aquino III forty days since his passing, President Corazon C. Aquino, on the twelfth anniversary of her passing, and Senator Benigno S. Jr. on the 38th anniversary of his assassination. On 05 August 2009, 200,000+ Filipinos from all walks of life brought President Cory to her resting place at the Manila Memorial Park, beside her husband Ninoy.
