When it comes to getting around the city, subways and trains are your best bet. We spent our first few days buying one-way tickets and day passes, which in retrospect was a bit of a headache. The easiest thing to do is to get a prepaid card where you can load money as needed. Osaka’s version of this card is called Icoca, but you can also use Pasmo and Suica in the city.
