Bears trying to enter Gatlinburg Cabin!

Mama and 4 juveniles trying to enter High Haven Cabin in Gatlinburg May 11th, 2020. This was a very unusual time for the Black Bears. Coming out of hibernation, they did not have the usual easy food source due to lack of tourism. Silly you. Not because they eat Tourists! It's because uneducated visitors not familiar with Bears, are not diligent regarding food, and food waste. Visitors leave food, and food waste unsecured. Folks, do not rely on a screen door to deter a Black Bear from entering. It simply will not stop them. High Haven Cabin is known for it's bear activity. Check us out on Facebook @ High Haven Cabin
