I Rebuilt My Dream MTB… Then Rode With Probably Riding.

Over the last few months I've been clearing out the bike shed, selling bikes that weren't getting ridden and keeping only the ones that genuinely mean something to me. While I love building bikes, I've realised I want to spend more time riding them too. In this video I give my Stayer stAyTB the refresh it deserves. It's my take on the perfect steel ATB—an '80s-inspired mountain bike with modern geometry and components, all wrapped up in a hand-built steel frame. It's easily one of my favourite bikes to ride. Once it's looking its best, I take it out on a huge group ride with nearly 150 riders, led by Marcus from Probably Riding. Along the way I chat to other riders about the one component, upgrade or detail that makes their bike special, and what they'd never change.
