👑YOU can prophesy too! Prophecy is simply learning to recognise the voice of God. Jesus said, “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me” If Jesus said it, I am choosing to believe it. We can ALL learn to recognise and respond to the voice of God. In fact, we are told by Paul to eagerly desire the gift of prophecy. “Follow the way of love and eagerly desire gifts of the Spirit, especially prophecy. - 1 Corinthians 14:1 The gift of prophecy is a wonderful way to witness to pre-believers, and it serves as a brilliant form of encouragement to the Body, especially when it is exercised within the boundaries given by Paul in 1 Corinthians 14:3, that it encourages, comforts, and strengthens. “… the one who prophesies edifies the church. I would like every one of you to speak in tongues, but I would rather have you prophesy. The one who prophesies is greater than the one who speaks in tongues, unless someone interprets, so that the church may be edified. 1 Corinthians 14:4-5 And of course James says, “Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves.
