The Enigma of Ancient Elam - Part II: The Middle Elamite and Neo-Elamite Periods (1500-550 BC)

In Part I of the Enigma of Ancient Elam, we learned about how the Elamites burst onto the ancient Near Eastern scene to become one of the greatest powers of western Asia during the early Bronze Age. In Part II, we’ll witness a new golden Age of Elamite civilization – the so-called Middle Elamite Period – followed by the Neo-Elamite period and Elam's entanglements with Babylonia and Assyria.
